Description
OPEN HOUSE at our HQ - 2/13/26 2-5PM
Live by the seasons. Lead with clarity. Build trust that lasts.
At Home Sown Gardens, we’re hiring an Account Manager who wants more than a title—they want ownership and impact.
This is not just a sit-behind-a-screen role, it’s a bridge role: between clients and crews, design and execution, vision and reality.
You’ll be in the field and at the desk. In conversations and in the details. Selling when it’s right, stewarding relationships when it matters, and helping turn ideas into beautifully executed gardens.
We’re not looking for average applicants. We want someone steady, observant, and invested—someone who can hold multiple moving pieces, communicate clearly, and earn trust over time.
This role works best for people who like to build things—relationships, systems, projects, and can handle the details.
What You’ll Do:
Client Relationships & Growth
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
Lead consultations and estimates for new and existing clients
Build long-term relationships grounded in trust, clarity, and follow-through
Coach clients thoughtfully on garden care and project decisions
Balance new business development with strong stewardship of existing accounts
Design & Project Coordination
Create design sketches, plant lists, and project plans
Coordinate timelines, materials, and execution across internal teams
Track project details, approvals, changes, and deliverables
Ensure projects move forward smoothly—from first conversation to final walk-through
Field Leadership
Spend time onsite with crews to ensure work aligns with design intent
Lead garden crews in Field Operations with clarity and context
Conduct site visits, audits, and in-field problem solving
Address client concerns directly and professionally when they arise
Collaboration & Insight
Maintain clean, accurate client and project records
Provide insights on client trends, service quality, and process improvements
What We’re Looking For:
2–5 years experience in account management, client services, or professional gardening
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Comfort juggling client needs, field realities, and internal coordination
Background in horticulture, landscape maintenance, or garden design strongly preferred
Ability to stay steady when plans shift, weather turns, or priorities change
Integrity, good judgment, and pride in your work
Why This Might Be the Right Fit for You:
You crave work that follows the rhythm of the seasons
You like responsibility and autonomy
You have strong executive functioning decision making skills
You enjoy both people and systems
You can handle many moving parts and thrive in detailed nuance
You have strong leadership skills
You love being outdoors and have the grit to work in it, not just enjoy it
See our Outdoor Enthusiast (Gardener) ad for an intro to our field work
You want to grow with a company that’s invested in you, not just your output
